Boston power-pop group The Click Five have changed their lead singer, but are keeping his or her identity a mystery.
"We are excited to announce that we have brought on a new singer," the band wrote in a post on their . "After several years of playing together we have decided to part ways with Eric [Dill].
We know he will be missed by many and we wish him the best success in his other endeavors."
While the band have a new singer, they're having some fun with their fans as to who it is. Their has 35 mug shots on the home page, and fans are being asked to guess which one of them is the new vocalist.
The winner will receive two tickets to fly to the band's video shoot and be included in the video.
The Click Five will release their as-yet untitled follow-up to Greetings From The Imrie House via Atlantic on June 26. While no track list has been revealed, the band played several new songs at concerts last year, including "Headlight Disco," "All I Need Is You" and "Mary Jane.
" The first single, "Jenny," can be heard on the group's MySpace page.
While no tour dates have been announced, The Click Five plan to hit the road shortly.
Dill is working on new material and has posted the songs "Love Is Warfare" and "Postcard From Hollywood" on his .
While no official reason was given for the split, Dill's states that he relocated to Los Angeles from Boston last year to star in the upcoming motion picture, Taking Five. He's also pursuing other acting opportunities.
