Brian Lofton got things started in the second with a lead off single. He then stole second base. Hayden Stokes stepped to the plate and got a single to put runners on first and third.

What was supposed to be a sacrifice bunt for Curtis Clark, actually turned out to be an error as Lofton was able to come home after a wild throw. With runners on first and second, Matt Brown would get an RBI single to score Stokes and Clark. Brown would then steal second and third and tried to steal home, but was tagged out at the plate for the first out of the inning.

Jordan Pratt then stepped to the plate and picked up the RBI single to score Viehmann from second base. Vilonia was able to get a run in the first, fourth and fifth innings of play.

The guys did a good job of making the plays when we needed them to, said Harrison coach Kirk Bock. In the second contest of the evening, Harrison went straight to work picking up two runs in the first, six in the second and five in the third inning of play to defeat Vilonia.

In the first inning, Brown would get a base hit, but was caught trying to steal second for the first out of the inning. Viehmann then connected for a triple. Crowder picked up the base hit to score Viehmann.

Viehmann followed with a base hit. Crowder would then connect for a two RBI single to score Brown and Viehmann. Pratt would get a base hit and Tate would then pick up a three run homer to clear the bases and give Harrison their fifth run of the frame.

Tate was the winning pitcher for the contest. He threw a one hitter. This is a big win for us, said Bock.

Last year we played them and ended up beating them the first time and they came back to beat us in the second contest. That didn t happen this year. The guys stayed focused and were ready to play.
