A construction worker was killed late Friday night on the George Bush Turnpike in Plano.
Troopers say a wife, who was following her husband home, struck his vehicle sending it into the worker, Jose Santos Guardiola-Ruilas.
Guardiola-Ruilas, 29, of Irving was setting up barricades at the time.
He leaves behind a wife.
Holly and Justin Perry from Allen face charges of intoxication manslaughter and D.U.
I, respectively.
Troopers say the two had been arguing, after attending a concert.
We do know there was some anger on her part, said Sgt.
Robert Bernard from the Texas Highway Patrol.
Talking to both of them, it is possible that it was intentional. It's going to be hard to prove that information.
There are many signs on North Texas tollways asking people to slow down where construction workers are nearby.
There are men and women out here on these roads who have families at home, just like the drivers, said Donna Huerta from the North Texas Tollway Authority.
Justin Perry was released this morning on a $700 bond but his wife remains in Collin County jail on a $25,000 bond for intoxication manslaughter.
